this was the celebrity inspired outfit i was talking about when i debuted my second-hand denim top.

when i came across this photo of Mary J. Blige, i immediately knew it was an outfit i wanted to recreate. i absolutely love her. and yes...i have every album she ever recorded. a true fan. 

MJB's military jacket cost $475 - a little too rich for my blood. at $40 a pop, i could get 10 head-to-toe outfits for that kind of money. 

my distressed camo skinnies and black tank are from WalMart. i get tanks there all the time, but i'm not sure how i ended up in the juniors section trying on these pants. i was with my friend Michelle so i'll say she's responsible...they were on clearance and she got a pair too. i wore them last summer to my brother's birthday party. 

when winter rolls around, i'll trade the denim top for a denim jacket and throw on my black suede knee boots from Target. where will i go?! i have no idea, but when somebody calls i'll be ready!
