when i was thinking this outfit through, i knew which necklace i wanted to put with it. the dark circles are a nice contrast against the colored stripes.
when it was time to move on to bracelets, i got stuck. blame it on too many options...my little box of bangles is packed full. they could probably be better organized too, but that's a whole'nother topic.
anyway...i decided to go with a consistent theme. wooden.
the single orange bracelet adds a bit of color and the ring is faux stone.
the best way i can describe this outfit is easy casual. is that a legit description?!
two simple pieces combined to make a visually appealing effortless look.
the teal stripes wake up the boring brown bottoms and the animal print flats give it a touch of flair. the ideal outfit for being out and about on your feet all day.
a quick change into my leopard print platform sandals and i'm ready for a fun evening out with the girls!
my 8.99 top is from Ross and the skinnies and shoes are New York & Co. - nothing recently purchased.
if you've been wondering how to transition fall colored garments into summer, now you know. add bright, lightweight fabrics (neon yellow would look good with these pants!) and you're good to go.
do you wear earth tones in the spring/summer or limit them to fall/winter?
I do wear earth tones in the summer, but like you, I try to pair them with bright colors. I love how you combined striped with leopard!
ReplyDeletethank you...i'm getting comfortable with my print mixing..even though it's in small doses!
