i'm not complaining it's the end of October and temperatures here in Austin are still climbing into the mid to upper 80s. i mean why should i? i could wake up tomorrow to an ice storm. that's the beauty of living in central Texas.
we have two seasons: summer and end-of-summer-but-don't-hold-your-breath-waiting-for-winter.
while i haven't been able to dust off my boots, the warmer weather does give me an opportunity to pull a few things out of the closet that i haven't worn yet and/or i get a chance to throw on something one last time before it starts to cool off.
when Tanida, who I met at Bloggy Boot Camp last month, tweeted me a brunch invite, i wasn't faced with the whole "what am i gonna wear?!" dilemma.
my thrifted aztec purse hadn't seen the light of day since i bought it, so that's what i built my outfit around.
from there, i started thinking about other things i wanted to accomplish with my look.
- (subtle) print mixing
- wearing something sparkly during the day
- concealing the fact i'm in desperate need of a pedicure
check. check. and check.
see - - it's not hard at all when you have a plan. *insert wink*
